Board of Directors
Stardust is overseen by a board of directors composed of community members who volunteer their time and energy to keep things running.
Board members serve staggered three year terms for continuity and succession planning.

If you want to join the board, stay tuned for news about upcoming board elections or contact board@stardustco-op.ca to find out when the next election will be! All Stardust members are eligible to join the board, and enthusiasm matters much more than experience.
The board meets approximately once a month to go over any administrative issues or other relevant topics. If you are elected to the board, the hope is that you will serve for the duration of your term, but we understand that unforeseen things come up. If you are elected and need to step down, let the other board members know, and we’ll find a new board member to step in (we don’t currently have a procedure for replacing board members mid-term; as we develop our organizational bylaws, we will have a clearer policy on this)
Board members are encouraged to participate in other Stardust committees, events, and in the Stardust community in general. In between board meetings, board members may have tasks or responsibilities to complete as part of their role on the board; this might include sending emails, creating documents, representing Stardust at community events, etc.
